Why Concrete Driveways Fail in Regina (and How We Prevent It)
A driveway sees freeze-thaw cycles, de-icing salt, and heavy vehicle loads every winter. Most failures start below the surface: inadequate base preparation, insufficient slab thickness, or a concrete mix that doesn't flex with the cold. When the slab cracks, water seeps in, freezes, and the damage spreads.
Our approach begins with proper excavation and compacted gravel base, the right thickness for your vehicle loads, and an air-entrained mix designed for Saskatchewan winters. After the pour, we cut control joints at planned intervals so any shrinkage follows a clean line instead of random cracking. A quality sealer keeps water and salt out. This same foundation-first method carries through to stamped patios, epoxy garage floors, and decorative walkways, so every surface on your property ages consistently.

How it works
Your Residential Concrete Project From Start to Finish
-
Free site visit and written quote
We come to your house, measure the area, discuss finishes and drainage, and leave you with a detailed, itemised quote and a realistic timeline before any work begins.
-
Excavate, base and form
On start day we protect your landscaping, remove old concrete if needed, excavate to depth, compact the gravel base, and set forms so the slab sits exactly where it belongs.
-
Place, finish and joint
The crew places the concrete, finishes it to your chosen style (broom, stamped, exposed-aggregate, or polished), and cuts control joints so movement follows a clean line.
-
Cure, seal and handoff
We manage the cure schedule, apply sealer if needed, clean the site, walk the finished work with you, and leave a simple care guide so you know when each surface is ready to use.
Common questions
Residential Concrete Questions, Answered
Permits, yard access, finishes and warranty on a residential concrete project in Regina.
Replaced our crumbling front steps and ran a new walkway out to the driveway. The rise is even on every step, the broom finish matches, and the railing posts line up clean.
Poured a new basement floor after the old one was torn out. It came out flat enough that the laminate went down without a single shim. Tidy crew and a clear cure schedule.
Broom-finish pool deck and a fire-pit pad in the same week. The slope drains away from the house exactly like they promised and the colour is consistent across both pours.
Built a poured retaining wall to hold back the side yard and tied a new sidewalk into it. Engineered, drained right, and it has not budged through a full freeze-thaw.
